Itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Area

Depart from Ouarzazate toward the oasis of Skoura, surrounded by palm groves and historic kasbahs. Continue through the Valley of Roses, a landscape of colorful villages and seasonal blooms. Arrive in the Dades region, famed for its dramatic rock formations, and enjoy a peaceful evening immersed in nature.

Day 2: Dades Area – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Travel to the spectacular Todra Gorges, with sheer canyon walls rising above a narrow riverbed. Continue through desert towns and palm oases to Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert trade. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga and take a camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset. Spend the night deep in the desert under a star-filled sky.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Merzouga

Wake early for sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the surrounding desert, including nearby villages and oases. Visit Rissani, a historic town with lively traditional markets. Return to the desert for another serene evening among the dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Leave the Sahara behind and travel through arid landscapes and rocky plains. Pass remote villages before reaching the Draa Valley, a long ribbon of palm groves and centuries-old kasbahs. Arrive back in Ouarzazate by evening, where desert and mountain cultures converge.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified village famous for its earthen architecture and cinematic history. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at panoramic viewpoints and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, concluding a remarkable five-day desert adventure.
