Itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Area – Todra Gorge

Depart from Ouarzazate, heading toward the oasis of Skoura, known for its palm groves and historic kasbahs. Continue through the Valley of Roses, where seasonal blooms and traditional villages create a colorful landscape. Visit the dramatic Dades Gorge, then explore the towering Todra Gorge, walking between canyon walls and enjoying the serene desert atmosphere before settling in for the night.

Day 2: Todra Gorge – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, journey east through the Ziz Valley, lined with palms along the riverbanks. Pass through the Tafilalet region before arriving in Erfoud, a town famous for fossils and desert commerce. In the afternoon, reach Merzouga, where a camel caravan takes you into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Witness the desert transform at sunset and spend the night beneath a sky filled with stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazarine – Zagora

Wake early to enjoy sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast. Travel to Rissani, an important historical and commercial center. Continue across arid landscapes to Tazarine, then arrive in Zagora, marking the edge of the Sahara. Day 4: Zagora – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate

On your final day, follow the scenic Draa Valley, lined with palms and fortified villages. Pass through Agdez, admire the kasbahs that once protected caravan routes, and cross the mountain pass back to Ouarzazate, concluding a memorable exploration of Morocco’s desert heartland.
