Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Boumalne Dades

Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping in Berber villages for photos and cultural encounters. Visit the historic Telouet Kasbah and UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou, a famous film location. Continue through Skoura Oasis and the fragrant Valley of Roses to reach Boumalne Dades for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Merzouga

After breakfast, explore the Todra Gorge before traveling through desert towns like Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive at Merzouga, and embark on a camel trek or 4×4 adventure across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and live music around the campfire. Overnight in Berber-style tents under a star-filled desert sky.

Day 3: Desert Exploration & Nomadic Encounters

Optional sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. Explore desert life with off-road excursions, visits to nomadic families, and stops at Mifis mining settlement and fossil-rich areas. Experience the Gnawa village of Khamlia with live music, visit local cooperatives, and enjoy traditional meals. Return to your desert lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Merzouga – Fes

Depart the desert, traveling north through the Ziz Valley with its lush palm groves. Continue through Midelt and cedar forests inhabited by Barbary macaques, and stop in alpine-style Ifrane. Arrive in Fes in the early evening for overnight stay.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

Discover Fes with a local guide, exploring Fes el-Bali medina, artisan workshops, spice markets, leather tanneries, madrasas, and ornate fountains. Immerse yourself in centuries of history and culture before enjoying dinner and overnight stay in Fes.

Day 6: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

Travel north to Meknes, admiring historic gates and Bab Mansour. Explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, then continue to Chefchaouen. Wander its serene blue streets, central square, and historic kasbah. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.

Day 7: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

 Depart Chefchaouen for Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit the Kasbah of the Oudayas, Hassan Tower, and Mohammed V Mausoleum. Continue to Casablanca for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Casablanca – Departure

 Explore Casablanca highlights including Mohammed V Square and the iconic Hassan II Mosque. Transfer to the airport for your departure, concluding your 8-day Moroccan adventure.
